A club for Ottawa U students dedicated to increasing awareness of career/education opportunities in science as well as increasing involvement of science students in the field of science.
2011-2012 Execs:
Erik Yao: President- Oversees all other execs. Plans and runs meetings, and ensures that all aspects of the club are functioning optimally.
Apoorv Chawla: Vice President - overheads with president and may assist other execs in their roles if need be.
Cynthia Stang + Leona Yiu: VP Advertising - responsible for poster designing/promoting events and maintaining facebook group.
Jenny Wang + Quynh Pham: Chair of Organizing Committee - responsible for organizing events, as well as contacting and coordinating with speakers and guests. Also responsible for managing food/beverages for events.
Prashanthi Baskaran: VP Communications - internal/external communication primarily via email. Answers questions from club members, and contacts faculty to distribute event emails through the faculty of science.
Leona Yiu: VP Contests - organizes, plans and arranges contests for club members as well as contacting winners.
Matthew Lenardis: VP Website - designing and maintaining our website
Whitney Faiella: VP Finance - Maintains club budget and expenses. Handles receipts and documents all purchases.
Elysia Pan: VP Academic - Plans and distributes information regarding scholarships, as well as information pertaining to future careers.
